TWO VINEYARDS… ONE PASSION
Winemaker at Château de la FONT DU LOUP in CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE since 1977 and keeping the pioneering spirit of my ancestors living in Algeria since 1830, I created a new vineyard in Essaouira in 1994 in Morocco in the region of ESSAOUIRA until then virgin of any vineyard.
It will take 4 long years to clear, dig, wells and gradually plant the vineyard, build the cellar, its buildings and achieve the property.
Backed by the desert and benefiting from the trade winds, DOMAINE DU VAL D’ARGAN is the first and only Moroccan vineyard exclusively dedicated to grape varieties of the Rhone Valley.
All the diversity, the richness of the Rhone vineyard is now beautifully represented in southern Morocco, new land of great wines.
In 20 years, the vineyard has grown from 5 to 50 hectares and 13 grape varieties from the Rhône Valley are represented.
